The following screen shot shows some of the conditions that the predefined IfErrorStatus and IfLoad Behavior Models in VERITAS NerveCenter found when we changed a few MIB objects in the interfaces table (ifTable) in a MIMIC simulation:
The accuracy of MIMIC
aids in the creation of custom Behavior Models in NerveCenter by easily
constructing the pathological condition that the model is intended to
detect, and gauging its effectiveness. Not only can you create the condition
in one device, but an entire subnet, as we did above with the IfLoad scenario.
